how do we caliculate self weight of the slab ?

 According to indian standards
Dead load(self weight) - pcc: 2400 kg/m3
                                     Rcc:2500 kg/m3

Example:

caliculate the self weight of the slab lenght=5m,width =3m,thickness= 150mm
sol :
volume of the slab= 5*3*0.15m =2.25 cubic meter
self weight of rcc=2500 kg/m3
weight of the slab =2.25 *2500 =5628kg
