preparation of cover blocks:-

1)cover blocks of prepared by mixing the cement and sand in the ratio 1:4

2) the cover blocks thickness may be varies according to requirement. the blocks may be square or circular. for columns blocks should be made hole in the center to tag longitudinal steel in the column with the binging wire.

3) the blocks should have enough strength to with stand the loads of the steel above.

sizes of cover blocks:-

beams:- at each end of the bar not less than the 25mm
bottom cover not less than 25 mm

column:- not less than the 40 mm for normal use
